Young people poor at estimating unit content of drinks |
A study of 234 British secondary school and university students has shown that they are poor at estimating the alcohol content of drinks. Subjects were asked to estimate the unit content of various drinks and also to pour drinks into glasses of particular sizes. The authors found that most people underestimated the alcohol content of drinks and poured volumes that were larger than intended.
